In 1976 Piazzetta designed and constructed the first steel monobloc fireplace with a cast iron firebox and with the innovative rise and fall glass door.
Over the years additional technical improvements have resulterd in the achievement of very impressive quality standards. Technological designs (multifuoco system) and new materials (Aluker) have made Piazzetta monobloc units unique with regard to reliability, safety and high technical specifications. Over the last twenty years, with the advent of easier to use fuels, the fireplace had been relegated to occasional, ritual use but now it is regaining a primary role as an alternative heating source.
